In the one field of anthropometry, the relation of skull and brain size with body weight and height in human are studied. This study was done to determine the relation between cranial capacity and brain weight with body weight and height in 18-26 years old Iranian students. Methods: This cross-sectional study was done on 286 students (150 females and 136 males) in Arak, Iran. Cranial capacity, brain weight, body weight and height, cerebral index and the ratio of brain to body (cerebral quotient) in 18-26 years old students were measeared. Results: The mean of cranial capacity in males and females were 1393.71 and 1168.71 mm3, respectively (P<0.05). The mean of brain weight in males and females were 1445.19 and 1209.61 gram, respectively (P<0.05). The mean of cerebral index in males and females were 1.99 and 2.2, respectively (P<0.05). Positive statistical correlation was seen between cranial capacity with body weight, height and BMI in both gender. Conclusion: Cranianl capacity and brain weight in males was more than females while cerebral index was more in females. چکیده فارسی مقاله زمينه و هدف : انتروپومتری علمی است که روی اندازه‌های بدن انسان مطالعه می‌کند. يکی از گرايش‌های اين رشته، مطالعه اندازه جمجمه و حجم مغز در انسان و اثر آن بر روی اندازه اعضای ديگر است. اين مطالعه به منظور تعيين حجم جمجمه و وزن مغز و ارتباط آن با قد و وزن افراد 26-18 ساله انجام شد. روش بررسی : اين مطالعه توصيفی – تحليلی روی 286 دانشجو (150 دختر و 136 پسر) در دانشگاه علوم پزشکی اراک انجام شد. اندازه جمجمه، حجم مغز، قد، وزن، شاخص مغزی و نسبت مغز به بدن اندازه گيری شد. يافته‌ها : ميانگين حجم مغز پسران ودختران به ترتيب 1393.31 و 1168.71 ميلی‌متر مکعب، ميانگين وزن مغز پسران و دختران به ترتيب 1445.19 و 1209.61 گرم و ميانگين شاخص مغزی پسران و دختران به ترتيب 1.99 و 2.2 تعيين شد (P<0.05). همبستگی مثبت آماری در هر دو جنس بين حجم مغز با قد و وزن و شاخص توده بدنی مشاهده گرديد. نتيجه‌گيری : حجم و وزن مغز پسران بيش از دختران و شاخص مغزی دختران بيش از پسران بود. کلیدواژه‌های انگلیسی مقاله Anthropometry, Cranianl capacity, Brain weight, Cerebral index, Gender, Iran کلیدواژه‌های فارسی مقاله انتروپومتری , حجم جمجمه , وزن مغزی , جنس صفحه آغاز مقاله در نشریه ۸۴ صفحه پایان مقاله در نشریه ۸۸ نشانی اینترنتی http:///browse.php?a_code=A-10-1-812&slc_lang=fa&sid=fa فایل مقاله فایلی برای مقاله ذخیره نشده است نویسندگان مقاله 7063---7064--- برای برگشت به بخش مقاله‌های منتشر شده اینجا را کلیک كنید.
