Abstract

Background and Objective: Today is the world of organizations, and to improve their performance, productivity and effectiveness, the competent and committed employees are required. Several variables including managerial and organizational factors can affect organizational commitment. Hence, we aimed to correlate between demographic variables and organizational commitment of the nurses. 
Material and Methods: This correlational study was conducted on 260 of 2120 nurses selected via stratified random sampling in the hospitals affiliated to Isfahan university of medical sciences, 2012. Using demographic data sheet and Allen & Meyer organizational commitment questioner, we collect the data and analyzed by SPSS version 19. 
Results: Based on the findings, organizational commitment rate in 53.5 percent of the participants was equal to average (64.70±14.57). There is positive and meaningful relationship between organizational commitment and the variables such as age, educational level, and clinical work experience. Furthermore, there is negative and meaningful relationship between working hours and organizational commitment. 
Conclusion: The most valuable asset of organization is manpower therefore, trying to develop employees’ commitment is of paramount importance to managers.

Abstract

Background and Objective: Diabetes is the most common metabolic disorder associated with long-term complications. social and psychological factors have a crucial role in its management . the treatment of Diabetes mainly depends on the patient and self-care is one of the most important factors in controlling this disease. This study aimed at evaluating the self-care related factors in type 2 diabetic patients. 
Material and Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 95 patients with type 2 diabetes in Khorramabad city in 2013. The data collected by a demographic questionnaire and Glasgow and tobert Self-care scale was analyzed by spss 20 software using independent t-test, Pearson correlation and One Way ANOVA. 
Results: Considering all areas, the average self-care score was 53.6±11.7. The lowest score was in the areas of glycemic control, physical activity, and the highest one in diet and foot care. Based on marital status, education, income and type of treatment, The average self-care was significantly different (P< 0.05). 
Conclusion: In accordance with the real need unique characteristics of the patients, comprehensive and practical training related self- care behavior should be considered.

Abstract

Background and Objective: Attitude toward the use of drug has an effective role in tendency to the use and withdrawal of the drug.  This study aimed to determine the predictive role of demographic factors and personality attitudes towards the impacts, risks and Substance Abuse in the students of Azad University, Damghan Branch.

Material and Methods: This descriptive-analytic study was conducted on 200 students via convenience sampling. The  data  was collected  by Delavar Addiction  Questionnaire and NEO personality inventory , and analyzed by  Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple  regression analysis.

Results: Accordance with regression analysis, eight factors of conscientiousness, openness to experiences, neuroticism, Agreeableness, gender, household income, parental education, and age can significantly predict 41% of the variance related to the attitude toward the effects of drug. Furthermore, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism can predict 35% of the variance referring to the attitudes about the dangers of drug.

Conclusion: It can be concluded that personality characteristics, marital status and income can play  a decisive role in people's attitudes towards drugs.

Abstract

Background: Genital self-image could express an individual’s attitudes towards her feelings-thoughts and changes in her behavior in a variety of conditions positively or negatively. This study aimed to determine the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics with the genital self-image in women referred to Health Care Centers.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 239 women between 18-40 years old in 5 health care centers of Qazvin, by convenience sampling method in 2015-2016. Data were gathered using the research-made questionnaire of genital self-image set by the researcher. Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and general linear model were used to analyze data. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16.
Results: The mean score (SD) of the genital self-image in participants was 53.4 (12.1) from the total range of 0-100. Most women (83.7%) had moderate, 9.2% good and 7.1% poor genital self-image, respectively. There was a significant statistical relationship between the variables of occupation, woman and her husband's education levels, and body mass index with genital self-image (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Only a small number of women had a good genital self-image. Therefore, concerning the adverse and inappropriate consequences of genital self-image, it is recommended to study the other factors affecting genital self-image.
